I love these with Bananas and Blueberries and lashings of Maple Syrup.
Any type will do but Brioche works best for sweet French Toast, use old stale bread works really well.
Cut your bread Into slices
thicker slices are softer and moist, thinner slices will be more crispy.
Heat up a large non-stick pan on a high heat
While the pan is heating mix your custard
In a bowl whisk Milk, Egg(s) and Sugar
Add Optional Ingredients: Cinnamon or Vanilla Extract
Once combined well soak your bread
Ensure your bread is fully soaked and coated with the custard
Once the pan is hot turn it down to a medium high heat
Add oil or butter to the pan
Cook for 3-5 minutes and then turn
